The Manor at Sway

“Since it was purchased by new owners Tim (who has a background in hospitality and was previously at Boundary Rooms in Shoreditch) and Edlyn Holloway, the whole house has been given a fabulous new look by designer David Bentheim and now feels like a special place to be. In the airy sitting room, which opens on to the equally spacious dining room and a fabulous stone-balustraded terrace, William Morris Fruit wallpaper is teemed with lime green sofas and black and white cushions and rugs – it works wonderfully…

David Bentheim has decorated the 15 bedrooms using striking yet soothing Farrow & Ball colours on the walls, Audubon Birds of America prints, ticking fabric for curtains and headboards, attractive wicker trays for tea and coffee and comfy beds. Only half the rooms have baths: ask for one if you prefer it to a roomy power shower. Rooms 10 and 11 at the top of the house have particularly wonderful views over the gardens, as does room four on the first floor.” The Telegraph.
